INTRODUCTION TO macTALK EXCHANGE

This whole section is an interactive knowledge base area run by and for macTALK members!

It briefly comprises seven separate areas, the first four of which are repositories for information, data, hints, tutorials and the answers to the type of questions which crop up again and again on the main macTALK list.

These areas are: LINKS, TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS and FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - and each is further divided into separate categories or subject headings to promote ease of use and solution-finding.

Furthermore, the SIGs section is home to very separate individual groups, which will be added to as members see a need, and suggestions for such groups are always very welcome. If others share this desire, then a new group will be created.

The last three areas make up a CLASSIFIED ADS section where macTALK members can give first refusal to other members as they submit their ads to the ITEMS FOR SALE, SWAPSHOP and FREEBIES areas, or see if other members can help them find what they are looking for in the ITEMS WANTED section. And the MEMBERS' ADS page is where you can advertise your services and interests to your fellow macTALK members - absolutely free of charge!

So, who can post here?

All macTALK members are very welcome to contribute to all these sections - in fact, I'm depending on it! Anyone can post, can add comments to the posts of others, and can use macTALK EXCHANGE as a vehicle to sell, buy or swap, but to ensure that only members of macTALK can use this section, a login system is implemented.

Just one thing to remember, please... These sections are designed in a very particular way and they are NOT designed to be used as a bulletin board. Although some of these areas contain FAQs in a question-and-answer format, the place to actually ASK QUESTIONS is on the main macTALK list.
